A polished tour can hide what matters. Here are the questions that reveal real care quality at any Central Florida community.

The single best predictor of care quality is staffing, especially overnight. Ask the overnight caregiver-to-resident ratio (not the daytime number), how quickly a call button is answered at 2 a.m., and how long the director and head nurse have been there. Simply asking these questions will usually expose high turnover on its own.
So you know how long your parent can stay as their needs grow, ask which care needs would trigger a move-out, and get the monthly cost itemized in full — medication management, transfers, and incontinence care are common add-ons that quoted rates tend to leave out. Confirm the community's AHCA license type, which caps how much care it can provide.
Are residents up, engaged, and well-groomed? Talk to staff away from the tour guide. Trust your senses on cleanliness and odor. Bring a written checklist so you compare communities on the same terms.
